lululemon Summer Internship Time!

Drumroll please … our 2012 Summer Internships at lululemon are now live online! #dreamjobtime

Working at lululemon has been one of the most eye opening, inspiring, and incredible experiences in my entire life. I’m challenged every single day. I work with people I love (LOVE!). And each day I get to create out of nothing and elevate the world in fun and meaningful ways.

If you are looking for a job that will change your life - and a job where you get to change the world, or if you know someone that does - take a look. The internship program is called Make Your Mark for a reason. ;)

lululemon Loves Baked Goods

There are few things that us lululemoners love more than sugar filled and sugar topped baked goods, as was evidenced by Bake Fest 2010.

And now, sweet treats, in photo form:

Above: Pink yogo topped cupcakes. I ate a white one and it was magical.

Above: A closeup of the pink yogos.

Above: Shawna’s Senorita Pink love dot cake was a hot seller! By the time we got downstairs it was almost gone.

Above: Table #1 - please note Elissa’s buttery scones in the back corner sandwiched between the coffee and the rice krispie squares. Yep, we know how to live it up at work.

Our office yoga studio really comes in handy after days like today!

What’s in my bag at the Landmark Forum:
Wallet to spend feverishly at Caffè Artigiano and Urban Fare on our breaks (espresso, mentos, and chocolate milk are a must)
Makeup bag: After spending 15 hours in the same room, a clean up is needed.
Water bottle
Notebook .. failed attempt. No note taking was allowed.
Purse filled with mentos wrappers, marketing pamplets, and secret notes to Michelle and Jaci
Wish I’d brought:
A blanket (it gets very cold in the room)
Warmer shoes or slippers (comfy Uggs would work best)
Dental Floss
A hat
Rub A535
Tylenol
Antibacterial wipes
Rescue Remedy: stress relief
More mints, gum, and hard candy
Temporary tattoos
Depuffing cream for under my eyes
Other tips for those attending Landmark:
Rest up before you go
Go straight to bed when you get home
Dress and pack as though you are going on a long plane ride (other than snacks, none are allowed)
Stay hydrated
Keep an open mind; I found I took more away after the course than during, but each person experiences something different - no matter what stage of the rollercoaster you are on, keep your mind open.

    My Happy Place

I’ve started having early morning meetings at a little breakfast place in Kits called Sophie’s Cosmic Cafe.

It’s my dream world: unlimited coffee and hot sauce all in one place. They open bright and early, and on weekday mornings you can usually get a full booth without a wait. It’s perfect for holing up, having a quick nosh, and getting some serious caffeine and carb fueled work done.

The coffee is the picture perfect diner coffee blend - watery, unlimited, and high in caffeine content!

    The hot sauce is outstanding!

Today I tried a new menu favorite, the Ashura Wheat dish. The serving was so hearty it will fill and fuel you all day long. The dish is served cold, along with yogurt and fruit - and is a healthful and energizing breaky. You can’t put hot sauce on it, but it still tops my breakfast list.
