Huge congrats to my little sis Melanie for being selected as one of the artists included in the upcoming Cheaper Show. She was selected out of over 1200 applicants!
If you aren’t already obsessed with this event, you should be. The Cheaper Show aims to remove barriers between artists and buyers. It’s an insane one-night art event where every piece showcased sells for the same price. It is nothing short of insanity - and I can’t wait to attend this year.

I’ve been seeing Brion Nuda Rosch’s collages all over the place lately. They are powerful, poetic and remind me a lot of the work my sister was doing with her triangle series a few years ago.
Mel did a collage for me for my birthday a few years ago, and it’s still one of my favorite pieces of art we have. I have it perched between the kitchen and the living room and for me it’s this strong reminder of being a stand for family.
My sis works at Zulu Records and we live upstairs. This means that every Saturday, when she gets an extra long lunch break, we escape the block and have a lunch adventure.
Today we walked 200 meters to Joe’s Grill. There we enjoyed:
