This afternoon marked a very exciting day for our lululemon digital team: we posted the JD for our very first intern!
The Digital Innovation Intern will help us build the future. More specifically, they will help us build out our mobile web, mobile commerce, and mobile app experiences; and will truly have an opportunity to see their work move from ideation through to execution. Can you say dream job five times fast?
All in all, we can’t wait to see the innovation and passion that comes through in the applications, and to welcome a new young gun onto our team. 2011 is playtime for us.

lululemon Loves Baked Goods

There are few things that us lululemoners love more than sugar filled and sugar topped baked goods, as was evidenced by Bake Fest 2010.

And now, sweet treats, in photo form:

Above: Pink yogo topped cupcakes. I ate a white one and it was magical.

Above: A closeup of the pink yogos.

Above: Shawna’s Senorita Pink love dot cake was a hot seller! By the time we got downstairs it was almost gone.

Above: Table #1 - please note Elissa’s buttery scones in the back corner sandwiched between the coffee and the rice krispie squares. Yep, we know how to live it up at work.

Our office yoga studio really comes in handy after days like today!

My 2010 Goals

My goals for 2010 are neatly organized in no less than four places. I have them plotted and planned on our nifty lululemon goal setting cheat sheet, posted on the stairwell in our head office, etched on a big chalkboard in my kitchen, and now saved and stored in the wilds of the internet - on this blog post.

They are a work in progress, and I find that making them as public as possible helps hold me accountable for achieving them. While my work related goals are more strategic, complete with timelines and strong language, the goals here serve to be my big, bad checklist for the things I want and need to get out of the year.

  1. Start an Etsy shop
  2. Complete a yoga challenge
  3. The Coles and Devine families meet
  4. Jake and Carolyn take a beach vacation
  5. Complete a blog monetization strategy
  6. Enroll in a strategic action course
  7. Attend Web 2.0 Expo
  8. Pacific Coast Highway roadtrip
  9. Save $1000 per month
  10. Infrared sauna twice per week
  11. Stay at the Wickaninnish Inn
  12. Trip to NYC
  13. Redesign carolyncoles.com
  14. Buy a nice easychair
  15. Manage 50 monetized sites

I hope to look back at this list many times during the year and check items off with gusto!
