Anne is finally back in Canada after over a year of globe trotting. En route to Ottawa (by way of Russia, Estonia, Scotland etc.) she stopped into Kingy for a little Tequila Tuesday reunion.
We got on a bit of a cooking train, making salsa, sangria, and a wonderful concoction we like to call Fudding. First I boiled milk in an attempt to make dulce de leche, but it was not the smashing success we had hoped for. We called my mum and she suggested that it might turn to fudge if we put it in the fridge. But to no avail. So we added copious amounts of cornstarch and cocoa, and voila, we had a decadent dessert: Fudding. Or Fudge-like-pudding.
After our cooking spree we gave Grace a ring and she came up from her busy life in Toronto for a visit. It was the first official meeting of Pashmina Corral.
We also caught a show at the Grad Club and it seemed like time had almost stood still. All the hipsters looked the same. Though now they drink herbal tea and eat vegan cake at the bar rather than get ridiculously wasted. I miss the Grad Club scene of yesteryear.
