There are only two kinds of falls in Kingston. There are the windy, leaf dropping, magical falls, and then there are the depressing, rainy, miserable, wish you were anywhere-but-here kind of falls. We are having the latter. In fact, I’d hazard a guess that this is the worst November Kingston has seen in decades, hell, I’d go with millenia!
Anyway, exams are on the way, and they always perk me up. There’s nothing like an excuse to drink coffee 24 hours a day to really get the day going. Now that Club Stauff is open round the clock, and the Starbucks in my building following suit, I’ll be caffeinated until it hurts. I’ve done the math and there are only five more essays / research assignments and two exams until Christmas. That’s childs play.
This weekend the Louise House Ladies are having a holiday event. The plan is to do a little astanga in morning, catch a flick, and then order in a big greasy pizza feast to round it all off. If we get really motivated, we’re getting up early and cooking up bacon. Bacon helps with yoga.
For now, it’s off to the ‘Bucks and then to the library to get a few hours of reading in before the serious keeners start. I’m here on a mission.
