A Toast to Luon at Lumiere

lumiere

Jake, being the big gup romantic that he is, took me out to Lumiere for a 7 course chef’s tasting menu to celebrate my new job. The night was nothing short of magical - my favourite part being the pomme fizz and the strawberry palate cleanser. Jake almost fainted when he tried the scallop tartare. Anthony and Christina, Jake’s friends from Toronto, joined us as we dined for almost 5 hours.

This morning we’re taking it a little easier on our wallets and heading to Bon’s off Broadway for a greasy, strip mall, $2.99 breakfast. I’m not sure if Bon’s bacon will compare with Lumiere’s vanilla scented trout caviar, but I’m pretty sure we won’t care.

About Me

I like short walks on long beaches and churros.

Above and beyond the aforementioned, I prefer deserts, duvets, dachshunds, $1.99 breakfasts, messy hair, mashed potatoes, sleeping in, seat sales, shoes, uva & uvb.

I work as an account manager for lululemon athletica, ballyhooing nylon lycra and selling tight pants to midwesterners.

I live in a big, white loft in Vancouver near the beach.

I'm happiest when I am sitting or eating toast with hot sauce.

Where Can You Find Me?

I am often in my house above Zulu Records, in Kitsilano.

Sometimes I am at work.

Other times I am on the balcony or near coffee or on a beach or at Holt Renfrew or at Bikrams or in the Okanagan or on an easyJet flight bound somewhere delightful like Brno.

You might find me there.

But if you can't you can call my cell phone. I may not answer. I'm quite partial to the parcel post.
